The term neurofeedback, also known as neurotherapy, provides real-time feedback on brain activity to improve brain health through operant conditioning. Electrical activity from the brain is collected via sensors placed on the scalp using electroencephalography (EEG), with feedback presented using video displays or sound. Neurofeedback has been used for more than 50 years to treat many mental disorders such as ADD/ADHD and panic attacks. NFB does not require any surgery and can be administered in multiple sessions. It usually takes about a month to finish. Nearly 80% of Neurofeedback patients see positive, lasting results. These are often amazing results that even surpass what "mainstream" therapies have achieved.
