How long have you been in business?
We started out in May, 2012 as a small family daycare. Our enrollment grew quickly so we are already licensed as a large daycare/preschool.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a high quality family daycare. We will also become a preschool soon.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My daughter and I are the owners. We are both credentialed, experienced teachers with Master's Degrees in Education. We were inspired to open a daycare center because we believe in the significant long-term benefits of providing a high quality education for children before they turn five. We have both taught high school but wanted to get involved where we can make the most difference in the lives of our students. Scientific evidence supports our belief that by high school the deficiencies in a student's early education often become irreversible. We want to give children a great start in life!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My daughter and I both hold advanced degrees in education. We are credentialed, experienced and successful classroom teachers. Our facility is very clean, organized and equipped with excellent instructional materials. My daughter has been trained to teach preschool. Our family daycare looks more like a commercial daycare/preschool center with separate rooms for child care, even though we work at home. We have a secure backyard play area with all new age-appropriate toys to promote sensory-motor skills development. We have a security system that allows only authorized adults to enter and a video camera observation system. Our facility uses only reverse osmosis filtered water for cooking and drinking, and we have a whole-house anti-allergy air filter and water filter. We use green cleaning products and all surfaces a are naturally sanitized by steam-cleaning.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
My daughter and I really love working with preschoolers! We have one location now but we are planning to increase our enrollment to twelve children, hire employees, and eventually move the business from our home to a commercial site. Our ultimate goal is to become a large, commercial daycare/preschool with several locations.

From any direction, go to the South Park commercial area at the corner of 30th and Juniper St. Go east on Juniper until you come to the end. Then make a sharp right onto Pentuckett Ave. Our house is halfway down the block on the right side.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are a mother/daughter team. My daughter runs daily operations and I help out part-time in the afternoon hours. I am currently a high school teacher in public school with 34 yrs. of teaching experience. I plan to retire soon to help run the family business full-time.

7:00am to 6:00pm
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I love being complimented on the high quality daycare we provide. When parents tell me how much their child has learned and that they love our daycare, it makes me glow. We love teaching and caring for children!
