Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Licensed Bail Agent since 1996.
What is your primary product or service?
Getting people out of jail. Bail Bonds. Notary Public.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My background is a B.S. in Education from The University of Texas at Austin 1979; Legal Assistant Certification from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas 1989; attended Western State University College of Law for 2 years before graduating with an M.S. in Forensic Science from National University, San Diego in 1992. Finding a job in Forensic Science before O.J.'s first trial was next to impossible. I literally fell into bail. I became a licensed Bail Agent in 1996, created Bail Bond Woman in 1998 and I've had my own bail bond agency since 2002.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Personalized service. The biggest difference between Bail Bond Woman and the large agencies is quality versus quantity. This isn't a competition of whoever writes the most bail bonds in a day wins. When an agency is juggling dozens of bonds at the same time the customer is short changed. My approach to bailing someone out of jail is give them your full attention and get them out as soon as possible. Big isn't always better. The proof is in the amount of service your business provides. And once out of jail Bail Bond Woman is right there every step of the way until the case is closed. Make the only call you make to get a friend or loved one out of jail to Bail Bond Woman.
