How long have you been in business?
We've been in business in San Diego since 1987 - over 20 years. We're one of the oldest, most established placement and recruiting companies in the United States.
What is your primary product or service?
Amarx Search is a quality search and placement firm specializing in computer technologies and related fields. We provide both full-time and contract placement services.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked for a large placement/recruiting firm (which is no longer in business) for about 15 years, then decided I could do far better on my own.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
First, we've been in the business so long, we have many thousands of established contacts, fans, and friends throughout the industry.
What most companies appreciate about us - and why our reputation is so outstanding - is that we represent only well-screened, highly qualified candidates. We provide few, highly-targeted candidates – not inundating management with heaps of resumes, as most recruiting firms do.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We've been working throughout the United States since we started in the 1980s. In 2006 we brought in Mark Wilson, our COO, who opened our Los Angeles office. Our business continues to expand.
